Any Bum But Bush!George Bush should not be president. He was not legally elected, he has almost no understanding of the real issues facing this country and the rest of the world, and he is no more than a naive, low-intellect country club playboy that is completely controlled by backroom power mongers. Favoritism and special privilege has enabled him to rise far above his qualifications for any job or office. The reality is that a small group of powerful financial interests has taken over the White House by putting Bush in the Oval Office and gaining control of the greatest source of political and financial power in the world for their own gain. They are a very real danger to this country and the American way of life. Bush is no more than the mouthpiece for them.Bush, himself, appears to have no real objectives. He seems happy enough just riding around in Air Force One, making speeches and cracking jokes for the people. He obviously would like to be known as a nice guy, but he is a travesty in the Oval Office. At heart, he is still the alcoholic, party-boy son of a rich and powerful Texas family who never did anything to merit his breaks in life. He has lived a life of favoritism and knows no other way.His attitude toward the Vietnam war reeks of this. (Bush the Weekend Warrior President) Daddy got him an airplane to fly on weekends in the Air National Guard and got him out of the draft at the same time. Sounds like fun. The problem was, fliers were prohibited from using drugs and alcohol, and the military began random drug testing, coincidentally at the very same time that GW refused to take his physical and gave up flying. Go figure.Bush may, in the end, become the victim of these people. If he were to actually rebel and attempt to serve the real needs of the people and this country it is quite likely he would meet an untimely end. And Cheney would assume the presidency. That leaves American voters with a simple choice in November:
It would be more interesting if the Democrats had better candidates, but as I’ve said for many years now, there are no real political leaders in this country. If there were, we wouldn’t have to endure these long primary campaigns. |
