The Case Builds Against Bush The case continues to build against GW. All of the evidence points to the fact that George and his cronies pushed this country into this war against the advice of the entire world and lied continuously to the people in order to achieve their agenda. Now, the consequences are beginning to show. Relations with our allies are deteriorating rapidly, the Spanish threw the bums out (VAIP.US) because their people felt the government was lying to them. This is the tip of the iceberg. Most of our European allies are now feeling intimidated by terrorism because of their relationships to the US. Friday, March 19th, marks the first anniversary of the War in Iraq. The Bush Regime will go all out this week to convince Americans that this monstrous mistake is justified. Try telling that to the friends, families and loved ones of the 564 Americans have died in this ill-advised war. Iraq Casualties (Warning: this page may take a while to load, its contents have swollen considerably) The Bush administration deliberately falsified intelligence on Iraq and fed it to the media. Many of the allegations promoted by The Regime came from a group of a half-dozen Iraqi defectors, one of whom is now a member of the Iraqi Governing Council. These allegations were not supported, indeed were hotly disputed, by the CIA, DoD and State Department. The primary falsehoods promoted by the Regime include: The claim that Saddam was working with Osama bin Laden and played a role in the 9-11 terrorism that Bush employed as the basis for his attack on Iraq. There is no evidence supporting this claim.
The lies permeate this administration. The problem
has grown to such proportions that it seems as though everything Bush
says seems to be a lie, an attempt to cover up the truth or to justify
a mistake.
People were intimidated by The Regime at first. But the continuous lies have finally encouraged some brave souls to speak the truth. In a recent report the nation's top Medicare cost analyst, Richard Foster, claims he was ordered under threat of termination by his boss, Thomas Scully, to withhold information from Congress that showed unfavorable cost estimates for the Medicare prescription drug bill. The bill is considered a key element in the Bush re-election campaign. Foster estimated the costs at $100 billion more than the $400 billion stated in the bill, which the House passed by a single vote. Once it was passed, less than a month later the president's budget director raised the official estimate by $100 billion. An amazing coincidence? No, merely more lies and manipulation by the administration. All of this falls directly in the lap of the Regime. They must be replaced. This Regime has special interests that do not represent even the mainstream Republicans, much less the good of the American people. Vote to Throw the Bums Out in November. |
