Election 2008

Get Out and Vote
America’s Future Depends Upon This Election

Vote! And encourage everyone else to vote! This election is too important not to. The right to vote is a basic tenet of a democracy; this will no longer be a nation of the people and for the people if you don’t.

It’s difficult to believe there are really any undecided voters left in the country. Anybody who doesn’t realize the travesties of the current Republican administration just hasn’t been paying attention. One can argue that these people probably shouldn’t be voting; it’s the non-thinking, hard right, walk-over-a-cliff for a the party Republicans that are responsible for putting Bush in the White House and the subsequent disasters of the past eight years. But, it would be better for America if these people wake up, understand what is wrong with the current Republican Administration and join the effort to Throw the Bums Out and Rebuild America for Americans.

This is a Single Issue Election! Sure, there are plenty of the usual vague and deceptively construed issues on the ballots. Some of them are really important. But, if you can’t make up your mind on those issues, you don’t have to vote on them. Still, it is essential that you get out and vote as many Republicans out of office as possible.

Even traditional Republicans need to realize that they were duped by GW and Company. They promised many things and didn’t accomplish any of them. Taxes aren’t lower for the average citizen, just the rich. Government spending is the highest it’s been in the history of the world. The national debt has topped $10.5 trillion, after Bush raised the limit five times during his presidency. The deficit at the end of GW’s term will be the highest in history. Bush and Company have destroyed the respect other countries have always had for America. And greed and corruption grew rampant during this administration, facilitating the financial disasters we are now experiencing.

Our government is squandering our tax money. And it’s spending more on the military and senseless wars than it is on the real needs of Americans: a rebuilding of our infrastructure, improvements in our education and health systems. The more than $10 billion that is being squandered in Iraq monthly is not benefiting America.

The Republicans that seem to have finally awakened after eight years of this disaster need to join the effort to throw the Bushies out of power and then demonstrate their ability to work together and across the aisle to accomplish the Change that is truly important to America and its people.

The continuous issues of race, abortion, gay marriage and religion are merely distractions in this election. The Bush administration had eight years to implement the promises they made to their base on these issues in past elections and they haven’t accomplished a single one of them.

Thank goodness. These are issues of personal rights and liberties that should not be imposed on citizens who do not agree with them. They are issues that should be addressed by churches, communities and families; not through the political arena.

What America desperately needs is CHANGE! The biggest change we need is the corruption and incompetence of our government. The Bush Republicans are the problem: This is got to be the focus of this election.

Get Out and Vote! And Throw Out the Republicans
